The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining tractors and other farm equipment to support various activities included in working on a nursery.
This role involves working in diverse weather conditions and requires a strong understanding of farm operations.
Being able to drive a forklift would be a bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain tractors and other farm equipment for various agricultural tasks, such as plowing, tilling, planting, spraying, and harvesting.
- Perform routine equipment checks, maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Follow precise instructions to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Be willing to assist in other job duties related to the nursery world.
Some tasks are not always related to driving a tractor and may include some forklift work or other tasks at the nursery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Agricultural Tractor Operator or similar role.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment.
- Physical capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform tasks that involve lifting and manual labor.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours and weekends during peak seasons.
Preferred
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of basic mechanical repairs for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Familiarity with various farming techniques and practices.
